The Zaanse Schans is not an open-air museum you shuffle through. It is a landscape made to be ridden: along the Zaan, past the mills, into the polder where the crowds thin out and the real Holland begins.
Our rental sits right next to NS station Zaanse Schans / Zaandijk. Step off the train, walk a few paces, and you're in the saddle within five minutes. No need to arrange anything in advance, though we do recommend booking, especially in high season.
We know the area inside out and are glad to set you off: an hour's loop or a full day's ride, a bike sized to your height, and route maps for the way. And if your train isn't due for a while? You can leave your luggage here.
We do this small, honest and the Dutch way. Personal, with far more love for cycling than for meetings.

Leave your bags safelyWe'll set out a bike that suits your height, that's why we ask everyone's height when you book. So you're comfortable from the first pedal.
Tell us your heightThe Zaan region is flat and well signposted with cycle junctions. With our route map in your pocket you ride your own loop with ease and find your way back to us.
Flat & signpostedYou don't have to, but it's wise, especially in high season and for larger groups. Book ahead and your bike is ready at the right height. We hold a reserved bike for half an hour.

Yes, both are available on request and in limited numbers. Ask when you book and we'll see what we can set out. For a child seat we'd love to know the number and age.

Certainly. For a group it's wise to book, so we can set out enough bikes at the right heights. E-mail us the number of people, the date and everyone's height, and we'll arrange it.
We're right next to NS station Zaanse Schans / Zaandijk, the train drops you off right there. By car you park free at Wezelstraat in Koog aan de Zaan, behind the station. Please not right by the door on Stationsstraat.
